This post makes me sick - this is how far entrenched the government is in our lives - how many exclusions and adjustments and qualifications are talked about in all this great advice - we need tax reform in this country

Real tax reform for 2018 and beyond, in any event, won’t be hammered out until 2018 is well underway…if then.

But nonetheless Diane is requested to provide loan documents from a third party to prove that her name is not (fraudulently) on it...Well if you're 3 days from closing and the Bank asks for a letter from your Rabbi saying whether you are Reform or Orthodox, they can do that, or you don't get the money.

I think the timing of this event will have a huge impact on the likely reforms that come with the next version of the FIP.  

The media has been saying the 1031 may end up on the chopping block as a result of Tax Reform.

I haven't seen how the new tax reform will effect the schedule E, but I'd definitely spend some time looking at that on your own.
