I really thought it was a catch, and advertising hoax.  

Ten years ago, there was almost zero code enforcement so you have a bunch of nonsense that you may not catch with pre-existing stuff and you may get hit with some monster issues down the road. 

I think there are two maybe 3 ways to look at this in my mind.  1) you go into it and bring it all up to modern standards but using that old charm to basically take what is there bring it up to modern standards and rent it out essentially I'm thinking cocktail bar or something trendy like that.2) most banks are on really good centrally located real estate if this is true, then I'd consider it for the dirt, plan to scrape the lot and go vertical with whatever the highest and best use is.3) a kind of combo of the two, if the lot is in a good location and its doable, pull the vaults or other "character pieces" out of the building, scrape the lot, and build whatever is best suited for the site there, but incorporate those historical pieces into the final designs.Is the site near a major retail area? 

Whilst there were no obvious structural issues caused by the settling, the evidence was there for a trained and impartial eye to see. 

I had an issue where someone spray painted over a fake camera in plain view...they didn't know I had a trail camera keeping an eye on that camera.

Typically, they won’t scrutinize properties with applications already on file—it’s more about catching those who haven’t submitted anything at all.You may even find that the certification comes back sooner than the 60-day max.

So - As a PM I do free property analyses for people who are current owners or are people under contract or even just see one that catches their eye. 

You have a ton of say about what goes on in the property that allows you to keep a close eye on the home and those in it.
