Try a halfway house or homeless shelter. 

One time someone just ripped the door off a front loader machine, probably because it malfunctioned.You will have to deal with homeless people, not a pleasant experience, again more so if you do not have an attendant.

Not in any particular order....Foundation issues, houses near homeless shelters, high crime areas, houses near housing projects, houses next door to a railroad tracks, houses next to trailer parks, houses near creeks/rivers in flood zones, manufactured homes...Busy roads and near highways will still rent... it is the areas that you might feel like your life could be in danger at some point in time that are hard to rent here. 

You are out a lot with inspection, appraisal, missed work to go to closing and rendering yourself homeless.

NYC Homeless Services or something like it called me out of the blue and asked if I was willing to rent to displaced people.

The non-profit, Facing Forward to End Homeless, has had many conversations about this very topic.  

The worst part is that I was away at work and had no clue that I would be homeless that night. 

After she died some homeless people she knew broke in and moved into the property.

I then explain to them that is something like this happens, my insurance company will send me a check for my damage and they are homeless.
