my understanding that there is rent control as well and can not increase rents more than 7% a year for the same tenant.Just trying to see if there is a possibility to enter this market at this timeTIA Hi Lydia,Currently Michigan legislature states  "a local governmental unit shall not enact, maintain, or enforce an ordinance or resolution that would have the effect of controlling the amount of rent charged for leasing private residential property."

Last if you have to sue them you need an attorney who says they do "commercial disputes," "business litigation," "commercial litigation."

Also, it goes without saying that you should consult an attorney; Okay briefly reading over your lease agreement, it's a good agreement but it is very loosely written and does not provide for many remedies prior to eviction so... that is something you should look to improve on moving forward, there should be an escalation of force in as $XX fee until rectafied and THEN otherwise eviction, also you should number your lease clauses.Regarding the current situation first and formost, I understand you live in the property as well but you should certainly take on a 'HANDS OFF' approach in regards to internal disputes amongst Tenants; you are after all a landlord, not the ethics police nor the real police.... if other Tenants have issues such as those they should inform you and then they should contact the police... if it's not police worthy than it is more than likely just internal bickering.

Cheers mate,I've said it so many times before.Who is not happy from within, will never be happy with anything or anyone else.Many unhappy folks look for a victim, be it in their personal life or a business.Like a drug to an addict.They thrive on drama, disputes, problems, arguments, etc...Simplicity, common sense, higher moral thinking aren't an option.Procrastination, fear, complexity, disagreement, doubt, jealousy, greed, etc... is what drives most of their psyche.I've had thousands of investor calls over the years and can literally predict exactly what to expect based on demographic, culture, nationality, age, etc... and by listening to the questions.But sometimes, I read it wrong like in this instance.

I’ve run into a dispute with my property manager and am hoping to hear how others might handle this situation.The property manager just turned over a nicely updated apartment and in addition to the normal repairs and painting, installed new 2 inch blinds and ceiling fans in the apartment.
