Wet rooms, I've done lino, ceramic, and VCT.

@Corey LaboonWe only do wood looking ceramic tile throughout  in our rentals.. looks amazing, waterproof,  very durable and easy to clean!    

We only do ceramic wood looking tile in our rentals now, no exceptions.   

@Lou Lee,Remove the carpet, and put wood looking ceramic tile down.   

They are travertine look ceramic tiles..

If you still have any knob-and-tube wiring, it needs to go away.This is where they didn't use cables containing several wires each, but individual wires, and strung each wire around the house on ceramic insulators - kind of like a power line you see on poles alongside a road, but inside the house. 

If you are worried about this the only thing to do that is low cost is ceramic tile. 

Somewhat similar of a job, demo of a few walls on first floor, re finishing the hardwoods, updating kitchen (ceramic tile flooring and cabinets)and bath(Vinyl flooring), little bit of work on front siding, finishing a basement, dry wall anywhere it's needed included, and removing a back enclosure. 

Turns out she didn't like them either and preferred a ceramic tile shower stall.
