That also includes being well known, if you were the quarterback at your local college or the basketball star in high school, people think they know you. 40 years ago, thousands in Springfield knew my name,  as time goes by you lose that notoriety quickly.

I think your answer is it depends - as you know immediately around WSU it can get sketchy in a hurry depending on what block you are on and how far off of Hillside, 21st, or 17th St you are.I think the University enrollment has been edging up and they've gotten some great publicity/national attention from the basketball team and Charles Koch's recent book release.One other thing you might check out is the Innovation Campus (I believe that is what the WSU President is terming it) development of the former golf course.

Those communities are larger (300+ owners) and have gym, pool, basketball court, playground, club house and gated security.

I was naive in thinking everyone was like me and in real estate for the cash flow and having that passive income give them their freedom to have their life back and go to their children’s basketball game.
