Well, I got his bill yesterday and it is extremely high, with a false accounting of his hours worked (on the side jobs I'd had him do) that is laughably inflated (3 hours to inspect a kitchen faucet for leaks!

SO, HAVING OR EVEN ALLOWING THE LOAN OFFICER TO FILL IN THE BLANK WITH A ZERO IS NOT A TRUE STATEMENT, NOW GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE APPLICATION AND YOU WILL SEE THE PENALTIES FOR MAKING A FALSE STATEMENT OR OMITTING INFORMATION WHICH WOULD IMPACT ANY LOAN DECISION.ANOTHER ASPECT OF SMALL PORTFOLIO LENDING IS SOMETHING CALLED LOAN CONCENTRATION.

Thank you for the insight.The property tax rate here is pretty absurd (a hair over 2%), so that strategy might not work within city limits here, but there are neighboring communities with much lower tax rates I'm considering that I'll definitely take this into account for.

Another thing to consider is no matter how absurd or crazy you think a contract may be, if the recipient signs it, you have yourself a legally binding contract.

Oooops, sorry Mike, didn't mean to stain that tie ole buddy, but you're miss'n someth'n, need to check in your state for the minimum loan amount that can be secured by real estate, can't just be go'n out there filing liens for any little ole bit ya want to, not only would it not hold that bucket of spit, you'd have your'self an other false lien matter to go see the judge 'bout!.
