My brother- in - law and wife are buying a house for around 270,000.Mother-in-law is moving in with them in an in-law suite downstairs for the new house.She is selling her house to a cash buyer which is paid off so she has a lot of money.Brother in law has 401k with only 3,000 in it with current employer.
