If there is a large amount of junk like old broken furniture, cardboard, dirty clothes and misc. garbage I rent a roll-off construction dumpster and hire a couple people hourly through friends or, if necessary, Craigslist and work with them to haul stuff out.

I did that for awhile, still do sometimes, but mostly now I just ignore the garbage and search for the nuggets allow people to have their own experience.Speaking of vetting though, I vet people’s opinions by looking at the post count to vote count ratio, I look at their profile, and I look at their references on their profile.

I would do it if my choices were renting vs buying, as long as it is making me a profit after vacancy, repairs, CapEx, Insurance, Management, P&I, Property Taxes, and any other expenses like snow, lawn, garbage.
