Hi Beines,I have something in my lease that I can show the apartment at a reasonable time with the tenant's permission, but to be honest if they don't let me, I am not sure there's much I can do.

I don't believe he got the landlords permission to do such a bonehead thing.Do you think I'd ever consider renting to this idiot?

Based on the zoning (DR 3.5, I believe) it should have been a by-right conversion (meaning I wouldn't have to seek permission, besides pulling regular permits) but the existing house was non-confirming so I had to seek a variance from an Administrative Law Judge.  

Have the seller send a locksmith over to open the house, and have the locksmith make a key (or take a new lockset with you, and change it on the house with written seller's permission).

The attorney will need to read the agreement between the investors.Even if the agreement permits this partner to place new liens on the property, which it likely doesn’t with out collective permission, the other 5 investors have a legitimate civil suit.

So when I say bandit sign, I am only using them in places that I have legal permission to do so. 

But, don't do anything on your own without the courts permission at this point.
