Could the cabinets be Uninstalled before the appraisal?

We originally decided not to remodel the kitchen because the cabinets were still in great shape, but just old.

Matt, not knowing your specific situation, here is what has worked for me in the past, especially when I do a Flip: I make a note of all the improvements that have been made, along with the retail value of each improvement (I may pay wholesale price for cabinets, but the true value is the retail price).

That house is beautiful, amazingly so now, with  new hickory cabinets and a huge kitchen.

I’m turning one of my rentals and found that the cabinets are trashed.

I updated the property (DIY + Family/Friends) by removing existing wallpaper, painting over the previous green colored walls with a light grey color, painted the trim white, replaced kitchen cabinet handles, and purchased stainless steel appliances.
