I'm not certain, here, but I think that Medicaid is entitled to the proceeds of the sale of the house, up to the entire amount paid for nursing care for his parents.

You should be looking into nursing homes , and getting one of those buttons around your neck " I have fallen and I cant get up "I am 56 with a 9 year old and a 12 year old ,  I started those late , I try to buy one rental a year .Its too late only  when you are pushing up daisys

I have no idea why that info wouldn't be in the file since it is a vital piece of the probate process.Sometimes that property address for the deceased is a nursing home or other facility.
