As an "old dog" I am comfortable (trapped) with what we know and fearful of what we don't.  

I will spend a lot of time at sea (about half of every year) and make good money; however, I would like to transfer out of the maritime industry eventually, and into real estate investing full time.Right now, I am looking to educate myself as much as possible about the various aspects of RE investing by avoiding all the guru traps, network with experienced investors, and learn to wholesale.

Don't fall into the newbie trap of thinking entities and business cards are important. 

I, along with many others, fell into the trap of trying to set things up first then taking action.

I think there are many angles on this that can be addressed to keep anyone from falling into the trap they are trying to set.....!
