Although somewhat cautious on sticking my toes into the honey dew I can be somewhat of an adventurer and don't mind investing in more speculative opps in smaller $$$ increments to start with.

Sell stuff on craigslist, get a loan against a car you own (if you have enough room on DTI), go to a casino....

Ryan's thoughts are pretty on track...as for any adventure where the site isn't critical.

I guess in short I am wondering if it is smarter to wait, continue reading and learning and start my investing adventures after I relocate and am a little more stable with another job, etc? 

That means insurance, like casino gambling, is a negative expectation bet.
