Then, you refi into a conventional loan, and generally if you are planning on living there or not will dictate if you can get a loan at 20% down or closer to 5% down (assuming you qualify).Either route has its stresses and pros/cons.

You guys can speculate to your heart's content, however a secured lender is not going to removing anybody's name from a mortgage, trust deed or other security instrument.Interlocutories and dissolution orders have the power to separate, bifurcate, liquidate and bifurcate assets but not dictate that a federally insured loan will not remove a debtor's name from a DOT or mortgage.
