I have a conundrum here, and I'd love to hear some perspective on the subject.So my ultimate goal 5-10 years from now is to have $5000/month in cash flow.I am currently in the military living in Elizabeth City, NC, and I was really set on getting out and going to flight school out in the pacific northwest area, until recently discovering bigger pockets,  real estate investing, and the possibility of taking flight school nearby. 

You'll have to go out of the primer areas and into the new frontiers, including areas of Queens to find homes that are priced within the limits that FHA financing imposes.

My father owned a 16 unit apartment building as well as 2 multi family houses in Queens for several decades until he suddenly passed away.

I know of a property in Redlands that is a Queen Anne Victorian home and it has commercial zoning (SFR, multifamily, or professional office uses accepted).
