They seem glad to have us there (including the police in the area) as the house prior to our moving in was a drug house where they evicted the tenants (we found many used needles in the back yard, "cooking spoons" found in odd places, and for the first few months of the rental we had knocks on the front door at odd hours from people of less than reputable status).The problem is my wife and I have decided to divorce and she'd like to stay in the rental.

So if i have to worry about a tenent that will break into my part of the house how can i get into rental biz and trust any tenants of any house i rent out.R2 how do you sleep at night knowing that in your huge empire of apartment buildings theres probably someone cooking oil from the weed they grew...down the hall is the ex con smoking crack and possibly burning your whole future.If i cant trust the tenent i bring into a basement suite i think i better think twice about getting involved in rental part of REI.Maybe rehabs are the better way less human factor

If you were repairing anything you needed us, or someone like us.At every sales meeting there would be a newbie justifying his new sales technique and while he may be starving to death now, he had good stuff cooking and we just didn't understand his market/customers/techniques etc.At one particular meeting one guy stood up and pretty much told him where to head in and offered a $100K bet to the newbie and his district manager that if he (the old guy) moved to the newbies territory he would be in the top 20 salesmen within a year.

I suggest you take that guru book out, set it on fire and roast a hot dog over it, that way it would be a cooking fire and would probably be allowed by your fire department.I'm beginning to add solutions rather than just slapping down guru junk.
