Frank Greco Best tax strategy when investing out of state?
1 January 2019 | 5 replies
@Frank GrecoWhile Florida does not have a state income tax; New Jersey(which I assume is where you live) does have an income tax.As a NJ resident; you are required to report worldwide income which would include the income from rentals located in FL.Having an FL LLC or a NJ LLC that registers in Florida will not change the above scenario. The good thing is that rentals often report a tax loss as a result of depreciation; but this is something to consider when you run out of depreciation and mortgage interest which may put you in the taxable income territory.

I live in a large Amish Community in Southern Indiana with several different things to offer but just not sure if I should only promote a place for people to stay or widen the choices to include tours and actual time they (Tourists) could spend at Amish Farmsteads which would include learning all aspects of the Amish Lifestyle.

David Gaudet Vacation Rentals in the Southeast
29 August 2018 | 14 replies
That paired with the fact that we get 13 million tourist per year makes this area the best option for vacation rentals in the country (that's my opinion) Although I must point out, if you're not willing to self manage the returns will be similar or less than a LTR.
