For me the splurge was purchasing a Supercharged Nissan 370Z roadster.

Audio books in general are a great way to super charge your productivity... but for audio on real estate investing this was awesome!!

@Rhett Miller You get paid a few different ways from real estate: cashflow, tenant pay down of the loan, appreciation (this can be supercharged with leverage), depreciation, and inflation hedge. 

I went electric 2 years ago I leased a Model S tesla they had a groupon special one sunday morning on a super duper 2 year lease and you buy those on line I had it bought in 45 minutes.. coolest thing ever how they sell cars.. then later in the year because if you bought buy the end of the year you got free super charging for the life of the car which in my mind makes it more valuable.. 

I see they brought back free supercharging on the model S again.

I “car hacked” a new Tesla model S on weekends and drove it on weekdays thereby covering my loan w weekend rentals and cutting my over $500 a month gas bill since it came w unlimited Superchargers.2 years in and it has worked so far.

Food delivery just got supercharged.

Often you can super charge rent with say college rentals or what I do STR.

The Germans built an engine for their planes that was supercharged.
