Damien Clark Kitchen layout problem - Any ideas?
3 February 2014 | 55 replies
I don't like the island sideways, and where you can only get to 3 sides.I'd make these changes:1. bigger doorway - remove the cabinet to the left of the range.2. face the fridge toward the range, rather than 'away from the living area'3. rotate the island and plonk it in the middle of the room, if possible, make it mobile and just have non-specific lighting - 4 recessed lights or something.Rotating the island makes it a work surface for the sink/range area.Have seating 'over hang' on the non-work side, and both ends.

Karen Margrave Ryan - Romneys' V.P. choice - thoughts?

And sadly, too many Americans have now been indoctrinated into believing that that compromise can't happen any longer, as if some fundamental shift in the rotation of the Earth has made it so that working together for the good of the people is no longer an option. When Americans stop demanding compromise (because they are tricked into believing the other side is so misguided that no compromise is possible), that's when this country is doomed.I like to think we're not there yet, but reading some of these posts makes me wonder...
