I'd say based on the information you provided, in addition to Steve clarifying the caveat emptor nature of Colorado,  you would have zero luck in pursuing from my experience.

It's only natural to pass these costs on to the consumer, it's the same thing with almost every other product you buy.

These are just suggestions - find some overlap between your interests and your natural talents, and then figure out where that aligns in the market. 

Tailor your design to create an escape that immerses them in the nature and relaxation that they are missing out on!
