Luckily we had the foresight to install blocking between the studs (multiple runs for upper and lower cabinets) horizontally to accommodate the cabinets.

If you are going down to studs in a bathroom, always put in horizontal 2x4's between studs at the level of the towel bar.

People who like hardwood but are looking for a more bullet proof product love this material.If your basement floor is a concrete slab with control joints that will be layed over, I highly recommend looking into an anti fracture membrane to counter act the possibility of horizontal movements in the slabs at the joints, if there is any signs of vertical movement at the joints I would avoid any tile installations no matter what the product is.

There are different ways of measuring it of course, but a common way would be: The horizontal runs = X; each 1sty d.s. = 15ft (or you say 12ft, then each A or B bend = 1ft, then the 2-3ft connection piece); then each inner or outer corner miter, end cap, hole insert, etc... = 1ft.

Depending on how bad is the foundation state (how many inches you have to correct), is very possible the sewer line will disconnect/break in the horizontal portions.
