my advice to Florida or gulf coast STR wannabees is to ask yourself if you want to be in a panic state 4 times a year every time a tropical storm or hurricane MIGHT go over your rental(s)?

To be more specific, there are literally hundreds of new syndication to review every month, and most of them are not evergreen (meaning that they raise money for a limited time and then close, and then there is a new batch to evaluate).

This old post is evergreen, it still keeps popping up from time to time, and I’ve made some awesome friends through the networking it has created!

Good morning from sunny, tropical Maryland, where it has been 95 degrees with 90 percent humidity for the past month.

Not sure its truly tropical in mid winter, but I am sure its warmer than Denver and a heck of a lot less snow.

Evergreen, Bailey, Idaho Springs, Nederland, and Ward, to name a few.

I have the same concerns--tornado or tropical storm or rising waters messing up both houses at the same time.

But for big picture long term evergreen income I am not a big fan of apartments.
