Aly NA's post is spot on.One thing to add is that in some states "bounced" ACH transactions resulting from a checking account, where the ACH does not involve paper and by-hand signatures, and "permission" is granted without physical signature, may (depending on the state) provide you no recourse compared to bounced "paper checks".
