True, but I guess I would put them under the same umbrella - they perform the same act: they insure the workings of certain aspects as it pertains to their claims policy; they come about it from a different approach but the business model is quite similar, would you not agree?

Seems to me there are many "landlords" type threads on the Renters forum and there are some "renters" threads in this forum.Is this primarily due to the Renters forum being tucked under the General Real Estate umbrella and not side by side with this one under the Landlords and Tenants Forum so many didn't see one or the other?

@Juan Soto another option is looking into getting an umbrella commercial mortgage over the 3 4-plexes that you have, which would free you up on the residential financing side to qualify for more properties.

@Anson Brown assuming you understand you cannot purchase in an LLC using conventional financing...so, maybe you're using another commercial product or have cash to purchase...anyway, an LLC really does not offer that much protection for RE investing...you'd be better off with a rider or umbrella policy.
