A few highlights below to frame the situation:I am in my 30s, married, with our 5th child on the way.My learning curve is shorter than most:  I work full time W2 developing for and managing a 1,500+ unit low-income housing portfolio.I have access to capital (initially up to $75k friends and family, up to $40k of my own).

Who wouldn't want to give their child a leg up right?

I'm also in a state of working two jobs with a 3 year old and a newborn at home so that I can reach my ambitious savings goal.

That process only took me about 2 months I know I'm slow my wife took longer to convince because it was our child and as most parents we hope the best for our children.

Unfortunately, my previous work environment was very toxic and got increasingly worse once they learned I was expecting my first child.

We will be moving out soonish and using our VA loan to get a slightly larger home (we are having our 3rd child) and renting the previous house, with plans to do the same on the new house.  

I am also looking for this to be the first step of eventually owning my dream home.I know this is on par with asking "How do I raise a child in 100 words or less?"

It may also be a sibling or offspring.The latter is my favorite target market: the child that lives at home during their adult life and ‘fails to launch.’
