My wife and I are grateful for our respective careers, but the thought of us saving for retirement and "hoping" that somehow our life savings will last until we finally expire doesn't hold much appeal. 

My daily commute is going to get ugly, but I'm grateful the mall isn't going in my back yard (now when they start to develop at the next exit up...well, hopefully I'll be retired in Florida by then).
