The NFIP’s definition of a  primary residence:Definition–Previously identified when a customer occupied residence  at least 80% of the prior year–As of April 2015, a primary residence is now considered  when a customer will occupy their residence more than 50% of the policy  termTo verify residence status, FEMA requires one of the  following:  –Current driver’s license –Automobile registration –Proof of automobile insurance –Voter’s registration –Documentation of children’s school attendance–Homestead tax credit form for primary  residenceThe NFIP will be sending a form  to clients for completion.

Whilst there are no guarantees their predictions will be correct the ability to understand and read economic data and population trends has proven over many decades to be a really good forecaster of growth in property markets.I would suggest that if you are not familiar with this type of analysis that you undertake some study to find the key drivers that grow markets.

We don't have millions in liquid assets yet, but we do have property in different states, have lost our umbrella due to unforeseen circumstances (too many car accidents, even though none were our fault -- drunk driver totaled my son's car, policeman hit my daughter's rear end, a driver hit our car in a parking lot and the car dealer's employee during an oil change drove a new car into 4 parked ones, ours being one of them, end of umbrella plan).
