My interpretation of this statement is that the things great quantities of money brings with it can blind us to the important qualities in life and pull us away from the kingdom of heaven.

I'm not someone who believes people should blindly go to college because it's the responsible thing to do.

Most of the people who vote could not have an intelligent discussion on any subject because they let their emotions short circuit their brains, or they let short-term personal gain blind them to realities.

This balance will be different for every investment which is why it should not be taken lightly and much focus & diligence should go into making sure each syndication is soundly structured.To quote an old professor; "Without the sponsor, the investors are nothing and blind.
