Hello from the SF Bay

This looks to be geared somewhat more to a Agent, but there are enough courses for everyone depending on their interests.Being that I'm in the Bay, property is significantly higher here than in many other places in the country making SFH rentals practically unfeasible.

1st Investment Outside of Owner Occupied Restidence

I'm in it for the long haul, so if the numbers work today the future doesn't concern me as much, but I would hope home prices and rent continually and gradually increased and hopefully within the next 5-10 years interest rates came down to allow me to either refinance and pull a lot of cash out, or greatly reduce my mortgage. But in an effort to get my wife involved and excited about real estate we've switch gears and are currently looking for an STR along the NC coast.

Also the home inspectors are much more geared towards writing lengthy reports to justify their fees, contractors tend to look at any sort of paperwork as a pain in the *** that they aren't real interested in completing.

Property on leased land
24 August 2020 | 8 replies
We live in an area of Michigan where there are several types of leased land, one being areas on Mackinac Island (which is a state park) and values are extremely high whether owned or leased.....the other being Federal Forest land, located on some lakes where leases have been in place for over 100 years or so....the cost to lease on the Federal leased land is substantially less than the cost to own so in this case, a good value, however, it has restrictions on sub-leasing so geared more for personal use...In recent years, it was pretty a pretty big news story when the Federal govt. called leases in on homes on the west coast of Michigan so you have to be careful and do your due-diligence.

Hmmmm....I don't see that at all.....our places are geared toward 1 or 2 couples only, and we've seen VRBO bookings increase lately, I'd guess by 50% at least. Can you call VRBO and discuss your problem, see if they can help?
