It can also be slow to get a tenant in using section 8 programs, since there are more regulatory hurdles to jump through.Other than that you'll find that the payer (mostly NOT the tenant themselves depending on the voucher value) pays on time, every time, no matter what (so far). 

I don't usually even show a house to a section 8 tenant unless they already have their voucher in hand.The waiting list in my area is 2 years to get a voucher.

@Heather Schmidtknecht In some cities HUD FMR is below market rent, and no the voucher holder is not allowed to pay the difference.

By the way, if you are worried about renters "sticking you" and trying not to pay rent, I would recommend renting out to a tenant with a Section 8 Voucher.
