Tenants are told to stay away from 3 sides of the house and no smoking on property.  

Smoking occurs inside my rental unit.

Agree will Declare our Buildings a low Allergen Buildings in all future leases after remediation of units, Currently i have a fourplex with a No Pets, No Smoking Standard in all leases.

@Deangelo MackMost cities will do a walkthrough inspection yearly to be sure it’s habitable and has smoke detectors and so fourth .

Even if you stand outside while she signs the form, you can sniff for cigarette smoke or cat pee and  listen for undisclosed dogs or occupants. 

However, I have not completed disaster restoration work and I am mostly concerned about smoke damage. 

I've been to many fire damaged properties, and aside from the physical damage caused by fire, you have the smell of smoke to deal with, and that may include the contents, cabinets, walls, floor, window frames, etc. 

You put these info into your lease agreement - smoke detectors, pest control, crime watch - whatever in your state is required."

We don't really have a check list that we follow, however these are the things we look for when we do complete an inspection:- Smoke and Carbon detectors are operational- No apparent leaks when running faucets and toilets.

These large banks have thousands of individuals working in cubicles, just hoping to get to the next smoke break or to then end of day.
