Goals:Build a RE portfolio to supplement my retirement income (20-year horizon).

From what I have learned so far it does sound like a difficult road but well worth the income supplement the business provides.

Hi Kiran: Supplementing John Corey's Post: 1) TX has basically not allowed residential lease options. 2) I review most lease option material.

I have yet to purchase a place.And at the moment, I'm an engineer (... or slave) to an aerospace company and would like to supplement my income with investment property.Perhaps one day, with due diligence, 100% of my efforts will benefit me (by allowing me to leave engineering), instead of pulling the line for the slackers and monkeys at my company.

I'll probably pay it off and if and when I sell it I may take back the financing and supplement my retirement income.

However, I'd love to get into REI as a nice source of supplemental income.

In this case, you could supplement an article with a video uploaded to your main website or use YouTube.com, which many primary search engines such as Google.com love.

I've looked at a variety of REI strategies to supplement my standard Down Payment/Finance/Buy & Hold approach -- from mobile homes to foreclosures to wholesaling -- and I'm now considering Subject To.It's clear, from reading MANY articles on the topic, that it's somewhat controversial and borderline ethical at best.

Jon, i don't have time to devote to 1000's of leads...i'm trying to pursue a music career and use real estate as a supplement..the wholesaling thing is just a way to generate extra income..so i'm happy w/ 100 or so leads even though the most i ever got in a month when i was trying to actively wholesale was maybe 15. who are the NOLA people u refer to?

Since I retired I thought this would be a good way to supplement my retirement income.
