Lake time in the summer, leaf peeping in the fall, and snowmobile / ski season in the winter.

The more time you invest in something the more incentivized you are to actually sign on the dotted line, because you think to yourself "well i put in this much time so far, might as well finish it up".The issue with this scam/con sales process is that the guys on the phone are aiding and abetting the victim on the phone to do something which is not in their best interest.

Your contractors statements and behavior seem to fall within the range of normal experiences in my opinion.

It all works out well when the market is going up and investors are getting paid, but when the market softens and investors lose money, the complaints and lawsuits come in and the dominoes fall.

Plus as you said when she graduates in just several months she will likely get much better paying employment.So, while this is a horror story for the victims, hopefully it doesn't become a horror story for the landlord.

And most will be able to pay the taxes when they come due, and put on a new roof, and put on a new coat of paint.As well as replace the carpets, cut the grass on a regular basis, replace the windows, reseal the chimneys when the liners crack, etc..It's unlikely that that these homes will fall into the slum category in 10 years or so, and make the asset underlying the loan virtually worthless.Or just vanish when the place starts to fall apart too much, due to no down-payment (no skin in the game 100% loans).Said the lawmakers who approved this.
