the way I read the sentence is like the following :the non-lender banks are trying to keep the failure out of the public because if syndication is unsuccesful it is good for them because they get an expensive asset for cheap and/or they can resell it again to another gp group ; for the CLO lender they can mix/swap around the debt tranches to someone else. the actual guy that's losing money here is the equity owners of both the equity part such as LP investor and the debt owner such as the junior posiiton.

Select a larger area that is at least 30 minutes in each direction. with maybe a hand full of exceptions I am pretty sure you would be hard pressed to find a mix that represents the demographic cross section of this country and therefor a wide range of neighborhoods.

Yeah - the way we view it is that we have a "net" hurdle we want to make on the loan, but are agnostic on whether that is earned on the backend or frontend or a mix of both - but to be transparent and flexible to give the borrowers all the options (up to them if they want a high rate / low or no points, low rate / high points, or mix)
