As a painting contractor I have done extensive work with fire, and water damage, animal/human feces, Kilz is the only thing that works, and that is approved by insurance companies, just remember to reseal any corners or edges that are cut or broken after sealing.

The house I just bought in June was so bad with animal urine I not only had to take up the carpet, but also the subfloor as well.The rehab before that I still haven't been able to get the urine smell out of the kitchen (somehow it got behind the wall).We've tried vinegar and water, which didn't work.
