I currently live near the Hartford area and would like to jump into real estate.

Newbie to the real estate investing game and I’m curious if anyone has any suggestions of an investor friendly real estate attorney in the Hartford,Connecticut area ?

She is interested in getting a property in West Hartford because her daughter is attending the University of Hartford.

Wanted to bring up the topic of section 8 potential applicants.I have a 3 family in Hartford, CT that was recently updated in an area where section 8 applicants are common.

Ive been looking at bridgeport and surrounding areas, hartford and surrounding areas and even new haven and surrounding areas as these areas still hold rent prices that are justifiable for income.

The question of best areas for rentals also depends on risk appetite and property class type.Overall in that price point, there are a towns within Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, & New London counties I think cash flow well.

You can fix things yourself, find connections local market, etc.. let me know what you are thinking im interesting in hearing because i actually was going to invest in New Haven/Hartford before choosing Florida.  

I've expressed my interest in getting a multi family house, or renting a room above a garage etc.We're currently living in Southeast CT, but are looking to move a bit closer towards Hartford, but not too close.

Having lived in a suburb of Hartford for many years, and knowing that the economic climate and outlook of CT does not look too good for the foreseeable future, any thoughts on where would be an ideal place to start?
