Prices are lower downtown and rentals stay booked for tourists, weddings, events (film festivals, conventions, sports).  

But even if everything was accurate, if they are full-time flippers with a network behind them, they can take on tons of deals and only show the filming for the properties they make a killing on.I do like the show with Mike Holmes up in Canada, because they seem to give fair prices for the materials, and then he ends every accounting with "and that doesn't include us." 

In Hollywood they do horror film movie nights in these..no joke.

The filming industry is picking up too - all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies were filmed there, and there is always some TV show filming as well.

You are backed by 40 years of market data, data that I agree with.But my experience has taught me that when I start putting appreciation assumptions into the numbers I present, people (especially people of my generation who are mostly my clients) look at me like I'm the Wolf of Wall Street dude trying to sell them Aerotine Dynamic stock (or whatever it was in the film).

and I love all things film, literature, and real estate :)..

They may provide similar shades of glass or similar low e films but the values work out the same.
