Have been talking about getting into real estate investing for the last 2-3 years and finally pulled the trigger on a 3 unit house hack in Soulard that will be closing later this month and will be self-managing the property.I'm trying to network a bit with other investors, build a solid team of contractors / handymen, and set my systems up in way to scale, but also so my tenants have a good experience.

This seems strange since PPMG (my property management company) is vetting these renters.

We are a local brokerage and property management firm, I manage a lot of furnished rentals and work with folks here on BP.

I'd keep an eye out for future development and path of progress plays.

Then you can self-manage and learn all about tenants, contractors, etc. 

As for the rest of it, you can find a lot of useful tips on past forum posts along with podcasts and youtube material on the topic (BP and other RE sources).We've self managed STRs for a few years.
