I think oil primer is the safest bet...but my odor may have been entirely from the indoor hvac coil.  

I treated the walls and ceilings (with a garden sprayer) with a bleach/water combination as well as tea tree oil, then primed with the best primer I could find, then painted the whole place.

Is having shade there really helpful in creating a cooler space indoors and out?

There is no existing garden, terrace or flower bed, but there are a couple of existing bushes I've kept.

. , I looked and found most of the motion sensing lights to be outdoor wall or eave mount versions with high wattage flood bulbs which are not appropriate for use in a such a small indoor room.

., and claim never to smoke indoors.

Then take a look at the "Staging Pics" of several of our most recent houses (the ones at the bottom)...Hopefully that should give you some ideas...Much of that stuff was purchased at places like American Signature Furniture, Garden Ridge, and on Craigslist...
