.* Hire a lawyer and have them inform the bank that you need to be made whole by the bank paying for the shortage to get the pre-approved work completed.* Ask the lawyer to have the bank turn over their decision documents on why your selected contractor for denied and the other one approved.* Also ask the lawyer to have the bank disclose any pre-existing relationship with the bank and/or its employees.* File a complaint with CFBP.* File a complaint with Fannie MaeHope this get fixed for you.

When the current lease is up, you have something to either negotiate when you increase the rent or create an additional fee or pass thru cost equal to or greater than the cumulative rent shortage + increase.

That's because they almost always get this wrong when the loan is originated and it takes a few years of adjustments to stablize them.When they do that analysis, they may want an immediate payment of a shortage, may send you a check if there's an overage, or they may adjust your payment.
