Replace hot water heater.Electrical - Move meter base, new circuit breaker panel, additional circuits for outlets and central A/C.Interior - replace interior doors, baseboards, door casings.  

I always picture a solar paneled roof that I can have an office on the top floor wrap around windows and watch the sunrise on one side of my office and sunset on the other.

Electrical Panels -  The inspection uncovered that the electric panels were made by Federal Pacific Electric and have a design defect where the breaker does not timely trip and the thus increase the risk of electrical fire.

The house also has a 100 amp panel which I'd most likely have to upgrade. 

So I guess I rely on the seller to be honest at first, but I will always verify myself.Some questions:- How many beds/baths- Style of the house- Sq.ft. of house and lot size- What type of siding- How old is the roof, - Size and type of electrical panel, when was electrical updated,- Type and age of heating system- When was the kitchen/bath renovated last- Does the basement get water- What floor are the bedrooms located on- Type of flooring, how old, when were they refinished last

Notice in some of the pictures the shutters are solid panels and not the louvered style.

It included a panel discussion with four experts, each of whom spoke about a different source of lending.

I dug further and the city provided me a copy of an inspection report ordered by the sellers 10 days earlier that failed, and they told the sellers they would not turn on the electric without a new panel and a massive rewiring of the property.

The Knob and Tube is a type of panel - and you often can have such a panel but still have the shielded wire (bx).
