Greetings BiggerPockets Community,I am looking for a good residential architect in the San Diego, CA area.

The commissioner said that I should get an architect involved.

As an Architect I have done 4 ADUs in Van Nuys so far.

Architects do this pretty frequently, but they usually build a new house of their own design, live in it for two years to get the tax free status and then sell it.

@Laura Thorne  When I was in school, my professor ,who was a practicing architect told me" if a client isn't willing to talk about budget up front, you should end the conversation shortly thereafter."

I am 24, fresh out of college, working as an architect with a pretty solid income, so I am comfortable taking a little risk.

I know we have to visit the architect to get a feel of the cost; but has anyone done conversion form STR to MTR before and what are the pitfalls? 

I would recommend you network with developers, architects, and contractors that have done the type and size of development you're interested in in your area.
