Why do you think SEC or whatever makes it so tough for operators to operate.If i had star power id do the same thing . 

I've integrated automation for messaging and dynamic pricing, and taken all the necessary steps (that I'm aware of) to align with AirBnB's algorithm - Instant Book, flexible stay minimum and cancelation policy, building up 5 star reviews etc.

1st Congratulation on being free and clear. you or your parents or you and your parents are doing great and deserve gold stars. 

I do think what you are asking for is unreasonable, or at least, unrealistic but hey, ask for the stars, settle for the moon.

Factor the matter is that bedbugs can happen anywhere, even a five star hotel.

My airbnb profile is a solid 250+ 5 star reviews, also as a teacher I have a significant amount of time off in the summer and holidays - so plenty of time to put in some sweat equity.

When we replace appliances, we only use Energy Star tier II or tier III models and we try to stick with the same basic set of models across our units.Last year, we replaced a dozen 10+ year old refrigerators with an 18 ft^3 GE tier III model.  

then go home and hug your wife and kids and thank your lucky stars if you have never fallen down emotionally and financially.
