The saying really plays to persistence and strong will - it reminds us to think deeply about why we do what we do, AND, if that 'why' is strong enough than success is only a matter of time, as a strong enough 'why' will never allow us to give up when things get tough.This is also true when it comes to real estate investing.

Although the race has sort of begun already that would be the final race.Anyone can achieve it but its about the right road you are going to take and persistence.

I do know that many start out in the same situation that I am in, and I know that if I am persistent in pursuing this, then eventually I will get to where I want to be.

Then "progressiveness" hit and the police do nothing about the bums, there are piles of trash literally 10+ feet high, rats running all over the place, human crap and used needles on the streets, homeless camps across the street from million dollar condos, and diseases infecting people.

Let's consider some other adjectives like "persistent," "determined," "driven," "motivated." 

Nothing happens on the fly, its almost always years of persistence, knowledge, experience and new habits that drive big change.

Persistence and grit are something that really pay off in RE guess really anywhere :)
