One problem with a lot of the online crime maps and statistics is that they usually don't take into account the density of a neighborhood.

They ask it on investment shows, they comment about it on the evening news, and they cite statistics that try to explain it, but they never bother to define what the market actually is."

I know plenty of nice pitbulls and own a german shephard/husky but the statistics don't lie and I trust what is good for my insurance is good for me. 

I guess basic arithmetic does not include percentages, variability and confidence limits on statistical projections.
