DISCLAIMER: NOT A LAWYER or anyone practicing law on this planet or another within the solar system.However I would think if something happened it would take a competent lawyer about 30 seconds to say "The mortgage is under @Peter Hoang so the veil should be broken and we can go after his assets as well".

You should NEVER rely on ANYONE but yourself to calculate the numbers, because people make mistakes, and sadly (as long as I have not taken over this damn planet yet), people have opinions.

There is no lender on the planet that will come to your house and identify who is living there. 

Currently, they are the biggest example of hypocrisy on the planet.

I've seen people get their best deals with structural damage for example (though I still usually avoid those).But environmental/toxic stuff I'd probably try to stay away from.

I spent quite a bit of time with them trying to buy a number of their properties under the TACT Program, or at least get them to agree to a pilot in the Phoenix area.My only major beef with B of A is that they are the only bank to date to decide NOT to participate in the TACT Program as a way to clear up their $60 billion of toxic assets.To their credit, I was able to discuss it with them, share the benefits and they had discussions with various execs before saying no.

I brought an associate from ORegon and he bought 60... easiest place on the planet to do this.

One of the best kept secrets on the planet.. kind of like how much is that car dealer making on me.. at least it was in years past..
