Make sure you are covered for liability whether there is an incident at your property or you are driving your car.

If you look at the Sinkhole maps you will see that all of the registered incidents of Sinkholes are right along that line and right along the I75 Highway.

I wish I could say this was an isolated incident.  

I’ve had the misfortune of this incident and the amount of water that was wasted was absurd.

The ONLY time we would make cosmetic repairs in an occupied unit, is in the event of a sudden, damaging incident...a broken pipe, major sewer backup, tree falling through the roof, car crashing into the wall, etc.

The incidences you talk about, no heat and not paying rent, almost sounds like a professional tenant who know the system. 

I tend to agree that AirBnb should actively pursue and address their platform use issues with the municipalities in the NYC marketplace to prevent incidents such as the example going viral and threatening their rental platform franchise in this marketplace as well as many others around the world.

Anyway, do you think the OP has a duty to notify the other tenants in the building of said incident.  

As many of us know, it's an unfortunate incident that happened, and something that nobody can really take into account.

I have not experienced that myself because I would never do that, but I have read about it.Not considered a high grade material, so not something you would really want to put in a million dollar home.There have been some incidents where some brands have contained physically harmful chemicals that off-gas into the home and make people sick.
