You're not a broker and you don't own the brokerage, so you don't need a broker's license and you don't need a "broker of record" on your business.It's sorta like a chef working for a restaurant owner. 

But my kids do not want college, my daughter wants to be a truck mechanic, my son a chef.

It is something that needs to be a priority, and just like a high percentage of people that have different jobs (chef, doctor, police officer, nurse, etc.) they do not put investing as a priority. 

I have been dealing with a relative who is a chef with 35 years of experience who’s restaurant closed and for the past year and a half has turned down job after job because he’s “Worth more than $14/hr” as was mentioned previously in a post.
