Bathrooms can be of a darker shade because they tend to get stained (even if temporarily) and if they are painted white, it would be difficult to maintain.

Would you have enough cash flow and reserves to ride out a storm, or will the bank come calling for their payment and/or properties because you didn't have a plan for darker days?

You can get a 5 gallon pail or some mis-tints.If there are kids, you can ask them what colours they like and paint an accent wall in their bedrooms with that colour...obviously you get to pick the shade.
